Team Infographic
The Story behind the Infographic
We came upon the name Le Chéile for our brand as we looked to utilise a name that would simply and efficiently represent our values. Le Chéile became a natural brand for us as it embodied the key pillars of our group norms, communication, respect and organisation. Le Chéile means “together” in Irish and accompanied with our tagline “Better, le chéile” encapsulated how we as a team wanted to work together to be as successful as possible.
We are fortunate that one of the Le Chéile members runs his own business that uses Wix as their online platform. This made Wix a natural choice for our team's website as we had prior knowledge and experience to assist us in Le Chéiles website design.
We opted to use Canva as it offered a great deal of flexibility and had many design features and creative tools, like allowing us to add our own ‘Bitmoji’ which allowed us to personalise the infographic. Both platforms worked well as stand-alone platforms and in conjunction with each other. This made matching fonts, colour schemes and the overall visual effect simple and was also a factor in our decision.
Both platforms offer collaboration features which also influenced our decision as it allowed each team member to edit both the website and the infographic allowing us to easily allocate and share work between the group. This avoided overburdening one team member as.
Understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses is an essential component to any good team, so in assembling pie charts with our various personality traits we learnt more about each other, to try and play to these strengths and work most effectively as a single unit.
